Job Description - Copywriter MetaMed Marketing is seeking a (full-time) productive and enthusiastic copywriter with a background in journalism or marketing to join our medical marketing team As a member of the creative team, the copywriter will write and edit content for a variety of online mediums, while working closely with the account and design teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging for our healthcare clients

The Role:
Content Creation 1.

Monthly Promotional and Ongoing Copywriting Requirements:
• Create educational & compelling copy for a variety of mediums including but not limited to blogs, website pages, articles, SEO Press Releases, and various social platforms.
• Work independently and with various teams to research and understand industry trends, products, and services within our unique medical sector. As well as maintain a solid, ongoing understanding of SEO copywriting best practices.
• Communicate daily with... Copy Manager, Account Managers, and directly with Clients on content topic idea generation & scheduling for monthly promotional plan content strategies.
• Write optimized, industry accurate, and informative copy within a fast paced (agency style) environment.
• Work directly with clients and Copy Manager to obtain copy approvals for publication.
• Coordinate with Account Managers and production teams (local & international) to publish copy on various publication platforms. As well as independently publish approved copy for certain tactics. 2.

Website Project Copywriting:
• Create optimized copy for client websites ranging from 20 to 60+ pages. o Conduct client interviews and information-gathering discovery calls to determine client writing preferences, tone, and voice. o Write sample pages and directly communicate with client to navigate edits and reach an agreed-upon final, established tone. o Follow MetaMed's Standard Website Project Build Process to create, approve, and file website copy while adhering to key project deadlines. o Provide copy for smaller one-off requests within the project like features blocks, email autoresponders, and more.

The Skills Required:
• Education background in either Journalism or Marketing, with 1+ year experience. Knowledge of elective healthcare marketing is a great asset but not required.
• Impeccable writing skills: grammar, spelling, and flow. Writing samples will be required to demonstrate proof of experience.
• Self-starter, with the ability to think critically and ask questions. Not afraid to hunt down information to understand your assignment & make your deadlines.
• Time management and organization skills are a must, as you will be managing multiple client assignments with differing deadlines.
• Ability to interact with and interpret many different client personalities and writing tones. Excellent relationship skills.
• Ability to conduct research on a given topic
• Experience writing optimized web-based content, with a basic understanding of SEO copywriting best practices, and ability for continuous (on-the-job) learning in this area. A writing sample to better understand your experience with producing optimized content may be requested.
