The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

We are currently seeking to recruit a fully qualified and experienced Building Control Surveyor to enter our career structure at the upper scales. You will therefore have a minimum of two years’ experience working at a professional, technical level for a Building Control Body, be a corporate member of RICS, ABE, CIOB (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate that you meet all the relevant job competences.
