Overview: We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Waste reduction, safety and quality will also form an important part of your focus responsibilities.

This position will be in Worcester in the Western Cape.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and create mechanical designs for products.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
• Review technical drawings for procurement purposes.
• Perform calculations for material and weight distributions.
• Proficiency in the preparation of reports and use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
• Familiarity with engineering design tools such as Sold Works and Auto Cad, is a necessity.
• Re-design of problem areas on fleet machines.
• Compiling of Standard Operating Procedures
• Compiling of Technical Bulletins.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Senior Certificate
• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical... Engineering.
• Valid drivers license
• Planning and organizational skills
• This candidate must be driven by deadlines and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of farm equipment and earth moving equipment will be a big advantage.
