As a Area Merchandiser you will report to the Key Account Manager. You will also provide a comprehensive merchandising service to retail stores in Ireland. You will ensure maximum stock and service levels are always maintained and that all stock is presented and displayed within the retail outlets in a attractive way,

Key Responsibilities
• Present a professional image to customers and follow Company strategy as set out by Key Account Manager
• To perform order and merchandising activities daily or weekly to ensure all service levels are maintained
• To visit all nominated retailer accounts within the area to confirm all PPG products are presented to their best effect and negotiate additional off-site displays to maximize individual store sales.
• To... implement complete stock and ordering procedure of PPG products or advise and investigate all out of stocks.
• As primary PPG representative you will develop/maintain close professional relationships with store management and departmental personnel, to maximize sales and develop the business
• To provide and maintain good in-store stock levels of PPG point of sale materials to maximize exposure and sales
• To implement retailer range reviews following management instructions and monitor all store fixtures to ensure compliance with retailer management layouts
• Develop an understanding of both PPG and retailer procedures to ensure professional resolution of all store level issues and enquiries.
• To collaborate with Technical Advisory department to resolve outstanding customer complaints and assist with product uplifts to provide a speedy conclusion of issues
• Work together with the Business Support team to bring credit claims to a speedy conclusion
• To assist with market research and special merchandising projects to further develop the business
• To be aware of and report to the Key Account Manager all competitor activity, new products and promotions to provide a full understanding of the paint market

Qualifications
• 1+ years experience in Retail sales (desirable)
• Demonstrate sales records and customer service
• Motivated and proactive
• IT literate
• Good written and verbal English
• Full, valid clean driving licence required.
