Introduction to the jobSub-nanometer positioning of the wafer stage and the reticle stage in our ASML machines is enabled by stage position sensors. The Stage Position Measurement (SPM) department within the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for these position measurement systems. We are looking for an engineer who can contribute to the integration and testing of these sensors.Role and responsibilitiesWe're searching for an experienced engineer to help us with the qualification and integration of optical position sensors (interferometers). As an integrator you’ll:• Qualify the sub-nanometer performance of our position measurement systems on dedicated test setups by creating and improving these setups, by performing tests and by analyzing test results using e.g. Matlab• Integrate the optical, mechanical, electronical and software components of our interferometer on a test setup or in a shippable machine• Functionally test electronics, firmware and hardware ... software interfaces using e.g. python• Discuss specifications of our test setups with internal and external suppliers• Specify and document the test requirements and results• Solve issues found during product integration, in the factory or at the customer together with colleagues from software, mechanics and electronic development teams• Suggest and work out proposals for design improvementYou will be working in a young, enthusiastic team with a nice atmosphere.Education and experienceMasters in physics or Mechatronics Engineering•3 to 7 years development experience in industry•Optical sensor development or more specifically interferometers (can be a big plus)•Electronics and hardware / software interfaces•Mechatronics•Matlab, Simulink, PythonSkillsWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that.
