Insurance Company or Asset Manager or Fund Accounting Experience

The Investment Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising the recording, reconciling, and analyzing of investment transactions monthly. This position will also assist in the preparation and review of investment reports on a US GAAP, IFRS and Statutory basis. Primary job functions will typically require exercising independent... judgment. The Investment Accounting Manager will directly report to the VP of Investment Accounting. This position will include, but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities
• The Accounting Manager – Will be responsible for a portfolio of Fixed Income and PE funds.
• Prepare and review partner allocations and quarterly investor capital account statements.
• Monitor the third-party fund administrator to ensure that that all transactions have been properly recorded.
• Manage the execution of capital calls and distributions.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and manage with the audit process.
• Work closely with the Liability Management team to manage liquidity and borrowing base compliance.
• Work closely with the Investor Relations team providing data to assist with quarterly performance reporting and ad hoc requests for potential investors and products.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7-10+ years of prior financial services industry experience
• Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expert attention to detail
• Comfortable being hands-on
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates high integrity, honesty, and transparency
