Terms and conditions: Full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract. News Media Guild position.
Salary range: $93,000 - $105,000
Purpose of role
Guardian US is looking for a reporter to cover the changing legal and political landscape for reproductive health in America. In this role you will focus on US abortion policies and the communities most impacted by them; how the abortion issue is changing US politics on a local and national level; the actors leading the charge on restricting abortion access; and those finding innovative ways to protect and expand it. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who will come with a roster of ideas they’d like to pursue, who understands the Guardian's lens on this crucial topic.
This role is open to candidates based anywhere in the US. The Guardian has bureaus in New York City, Washington DC and Los Angeles, and reporters living near one of our offices come into the office two days a week.
