Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer

South West London, Kent borders

Salary £40k to £60K – DOE

This role is to join a thriving practice of mechanical and electrical building services engineers, they cover a range of projects in sectors including pharmaceutical, education, industrial, financial, hotels, leisure health and residential.

Its notable that they have a heavy focus on low carbon design and are a highly ethical business and this is a strong part of their culture.

The Role
• Design, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works and provide information for cost plans.
• Undertake Electrical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects. E.g., undertake calculations on cable sizing, lighting selections etc
• Work in conjunction with other design team members as required as part of an overall project team.
• Monitoring engineering resource requirement for each... project within your control.
• Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion.
• Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations.
• Determine the need for and attend project progress meetings.
• Maintain client and design team relationships.
• Have a strong awareness of Low Carbon design.
• Manage projects from inception through to completion.

Experience Required
• Proven experience as an electrical design engineer within building services.
• Preferably degree qualified.
• Chartered or a desire to become chartered would be beneficial.
• A consultancy background.
• Experience of a range of different project types.
• Knowledge of British Standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation and written skills are essential.
