Mechanical Design Engineer Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE Location: Gloucestershire

PURPOSE OF THE JOB As part of the current high-growth phase of this forward thinking and innovative start-up a Mechanical Engineer is required to join the team and support the development of the electrification projects underway and in the future.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESULT AREAS Working with the Systems team to generate battery/powertrain configurations within a wide variety of aircraft Capable of independent working, proposing solutions to difficult problems, and leading these work packages to conclusion Detailed design and CAD drawings using best practices, geometric tolerances, key characteristics, and drawing standards Working with the CAE team to analyse and optimise designs for stress, thermals, fluid flows etc PERSONAL SPECIFICATION Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with proven experience in a design and development environment... Aerospace/Automotive/Product battery experience is advantageous Strong mechanical engineering background, but more importantly, be able to apply knowledge to real-world situations. Knowledge/understanding of electronics is advantageous Heavily experienced in the use of CAD software with the ability to create design concepts and fully dimensioned drawings working with best practice geometric tolerances and key characteristics.
