One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for an Accounting Technician. This is a temporary contract for 3 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance. Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary To support the Chief Accountant in providing comprehensive financial information, advice and support to the Resources Directorate and Chief Executive.

Duties and

Responsibilities To assist the Chief Accountant in the preparation revenue estimates for Resources and Chief Executive in accordance with approved timescales. To produce the salary estimates for the portfolios within the postholder s area of responsibility. To assist in the calculation of Central Support and Office Accommodation recharges, across the whole Council. To assist with the calculation of Insurance Recharges. To prepare and submit, appropriate statistical returns to CIPFA, Government Departments and other organisations.

Ensure all relevant deadlines are met. Liaise with colleagues in all... departments as appropriate. To undertake available training opportunities identified through appraisal and supervision and show a commitment to continuous development, to maximise your potential and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Council services.
