As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities
• Ad-hoc projects as required
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Achieve... compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
• Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
• Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

Requirements
• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
• Expertise in Canadian Payroll
• Earlier work involving Month-end Close Activities
• General familiarity with bank reconciliations
• Automated Payroll experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of GST
• Practical knowledge of QuickBooks
• Foreign Currency experience highly preferred
• Background working with general ledger
• Comprehensive knowledge of Automated Payroll
• Foundational knowledge in year end closings
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Adeptness in journal entries
• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
• Vow to meet business deadlines
• SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
• Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
• Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable of ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
• Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
• Skilled in financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
• Strong organization skills
