IT Manager The Opportunity A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT manager to join an industry leader with a first-class reputation in the wellbeing, personal safety and security sector. The Function The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing Cloud Services (including migration), Information Security, Data Compliance, as well as the management and training of staff. The Role The IT Manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of IT systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation, maintenance and development of the company’s IT needs across all the operational offices within the organisation and have a hybrid physical presence at one of the primary sites in either Norfolk or Hampshire. Main Responsibilities and Activities-Manage information technology and computer systems
• Manage the implementation, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of... organisational IT systems. This includes operating systems servers, PCs, software apps, telephones, and peripherals.
• Ensures efficient and effective technology and Internet access for all users
• Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Oversees information security and maintains network and user security through hardware or software installation or through education
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy
• - Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Develops emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failure to preserve technology and data
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Researches and stays up to date regarding new IT equipment and Solutions What are we looking for from you? Experience:
• Proven working experience as an IT Manager or similar IT Operational Leadership role
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• * Ability to manage personnel
• Knowledge of managing IT systems that are “Cloud Only” in architecture
• Ideally expertise in data centre management and data governance
• Specialises in IT needs for a certain industry, such as healthcare, medical, or finance Qualifications & Training
• Recognised IT qualification in a relevant field
• Five years IT operational experience
• In depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems
• System administration, database, and security expertise General Skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Excellent written skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools
• Good organisation and planning skills
• Proven Team management experience
• Working knowledge of IT based products.
