To understand our merchandise business, we need to understand our customers. That’s why you’ll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets, Liquor and Express. Supermarkets is one of the largest teams at Coles, but we’re a close-knit group that come from all over the world. About the role
Reporting into the Senior Product Technologist, this new role is due to the team growing! You will drive quality, ensure compliance, and support product innovation of Coles brand products within the Health & Home team.
As a Product Technologist... you will manage products across the Health and Home categories; ensuring quality and compliance standards are met – whilst driving product innovation. You will be a custodian of safety, quality, legal compliance, usability, and reputation for Own Brand products.
You'll also:
• Create value by executing the brand strategy.
• Land new innovative products, reviewing past product performance and driving commercial outcomes.
• Deliver supplier accountability and performance in quality and safety.
• Engage and collaborate strategically with category teams and suppliers.
About you and your skills
Demonstrated experience working with high-risk Non-Food products within a FMCG, manufacturing and/or retail environment.
You'll also need:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, or related field
• Significant, relevant experience in Non-Food products, or related subject matter expertise within a compliance vocation
• Non-Food (Health & Beauty) product experience is required
• Technical management Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
• Proven experience in supplier management, investigations, audit response and data analysis
• Experience working with both international and local suppliers to deliver product innovation and essential safety controls
• Strong planning, time management and influencing skills
