How you contribute Emesent is a high growth scale-up and our Finance team needs your help. We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant who will work closely with our finance team members to deliver effective business outcomes. You will be proactive with a great eye for detail. Teamwork and collaboration are important to us so we are looking for someone who will embody our people-oriented spirit with internal and external stakeholders. + Management reporting
+ Management of monthly general ledger close, internal financial and KPI reporting, and reconciliation of balance
+ sheet accounts
+ Preparation of data for reports for Board meetings
+ Deliver against workflow SLAs with various departments within the... organisation
+ Maintenance of finance policies and procedures
+ Assist with payroll, budgeting, and forecasting
+ Financial & regulatory reporting
+ Key contributor to the annual audit subject to IFRS
+ Periodic investor relations reporting pursuant to shareholder agreement
+ Periodic regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with federal and state government-issued grant funding
+ Taxation & compliance
+ Calculation of monthly deferred tax balances and corresponding accounting
+ Preparation of monthly business activity statement
+ Liaison with external tax advisors in relation to preparation of annual income tax return
+ Liaison with external tax advisors in relation to preparation of annual fringe benefits tax return
+ Operational finance
+ Transactional accounting including bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and ad hoc reporting
+ Assistance with fortnightly payroll process
+ Such other duties as may reasonably be required
+ IT & financial systems
+ Previous experience with general ledger accounting, FPA and CRM systems (Xero desirable)
+ Atlassian suite (desirable)
+ MS Office
+ Qualifications & experience
+ or majoring in Accountancy
+ CA or CPA
+ Min. 5 years in similar commercial roles
+ Experience in manufacturing or technology enterprise desirable
+ Working knowledge of IFRS as it applies to revenue recognition, lease accounting and share-based payments
