Job description

We are looking for an energetic and driven Management Accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience. As part of our Internal Finance team, you will provide outstanding services to the business. You will be a key contributor to our fast-growing business and will help to build our future as well as your own career. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can provide high quality, technology enabled solutions and someone who will become the main point of contact for the... day-to-day delivery of services and has the ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes.

About the role
• Maintaining the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, including bank reconciliations and processing of journals
• Assist with bank & payment matters
• Reporting in a timely and accurate manner to client queries
• Management accounts preparation and month end close processes
• Preparation of payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations.
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly Business and Instalment Activity Statements
• Keeping manager informed of progress and any issues arising
• Communicating and dealing with clients and colleagues professionally and courteously
• Progress towards providing business advisory services to key business stakeholders

Qualifications

To be a successful Management Accountant at Mazars Australia, we are looking for the following attributes:
• 2-3 years’ experience working in an accounting related role
• Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent) with the intention/willingness to undertake the CA/CPA Program in the future
• Good attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately to tight time schedules
• Experience of Xero or other cloud accounting packages would be beneficial
• Strong numerical and IT skills
• Sound Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Willing to learn and be keen and committed in a working environment
