Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our team supporting the US Army, Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) Global Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Network Program (GSN) working from the National Capital Region (NCR). The GSN program provides improved SIPR multi-site, mobility access, wireless, and data-at-rest capabilities... across six (6) locations globally to include: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA; Fort Bragg, NC; Schofield Barracks, HI; USAG Grafenwoehr, Germany; Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; and Camp Humphries, South Korea.

The successful candidate will serve as a Senior Cyber Engineer supporting GSN modernization efforts to set the enterprise environment to support greater operational flexibility while reducing classified infrastructure footprint on installations. The goal is to maximize its use of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS), and the SIPR-Consolidated Security Suite (S-CSS) capabilities while minimizing the use of the National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 encryption equipment and “Thick” client end-user computing devices.

The position designs, tests and implements security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate systems, and adhere to security requirements as defined by DOD /Army guidance, policies, and regulations. Protects and safeguards information technology by ensuring application of cybersecurity requirements for personnel, processes, and IT in accordance with the Army Cybersecurity Program (AR 25-2). Researches efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Maintains hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols. Administers security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems. Supports development of necessary artifacts (diagrams, documents, scan results, Plan of Action and Milestone Input, etc.) to meet Army Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements, the National Security Agency CSfC Registration requirements, and the Army/DoD Cross Domain Office.

The position requires ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.

• Minimum education of Bachelor's Degree; Engineering Degree, or a Related Scientific or Technical discipline preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including Army Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements
• Secret level security clearance
• Professionally recognized cybersecurity certifications per DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M / IAT-II (e.g. Security+CE)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Desire experience working with National Security Agency CSfC Registration requirements, and the Army/DoD Cross Domain Office
