He/She will be responsible for/in charge of running the day-to-day operations of a nightclub, from managing inventory and staff to overseeing the appearance and cleanliness. They are charged with overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Night Club and Lounges in order to establish a smooth and safe running operation and achieve the highest possible guest satisfaction by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service to guests in the hotel bar area in line with departmental and hotel guidelines, as well as F&B service concepts
RESPONSIBILITIES
When reporting for duty, he/she will check with the supervisor to bring self-up-to-date on the daily events and theme nights being held in the outlet on that particular dayMakes sure that the outlets are properly set up according to Hotel Policies & ProceduresSupervises and oversee cleaning of the outlet ensuring all equipment are operational and up to the required standards (maintaining cleanliness throughout service)Prepares schedules for the team according to the forecast and within the limits of the staffing guide, to ensure adequate manpower at all times and under the guidance of the Food & Beverage DirectorParticipates in planning of promotions, beverage purchases and pricing under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Director/Executive Chef in liaison with the Sales & Marketing teamEnsures hygiene/sanitary conditions are maintained according to health codes and hotel standardsConsults with Food & Beverage Director with regards to service in the Night Club and LoungesSupervises Night Club (and other F&B) personnel depending on the business needs, consistently observing attitude towards colleagues and guestsDefines training needs and propose training programs in co-relation with Food & Beverage Director. Continuously trains subordinates to achieve highest professionalismEnsures correct handling of equipment to minimize breakages and lossesEnsures that all sales in the outlet are registered in the system and paid for appropriatelyInspects all areas daily before opening according to fixed standard checklist and ensures full adherence of the closing dutiesEnforces and maintain all policies and procedures under the guidance of the Food & Beverage DirectorPrepares requisitions for beverages, condiments, general supplies and guest supplies, taking into consideration established par stocksAdheres to fixed grooming standards as per hotel & outlet policyEnsures that full respects of dress code and entrance procedures are fully adhered to at all timesEnsures that sound and lighting levels are always adhered to as per fixed standardsObserves opening and closing hours of the outlet according to the law and company standardsPerforms any other duties assigned by the Food & Beverage DirectorCarries out an internal induction and training course, in liaison with the Food & Beverage Director when a new member of staff is taken on boardMakes himself/herself familiar with all menus, promotions, and other relevant issues concerning the outlet (product knowledge)Handles guest complaints as per instructions or consults the immediate Supervisor for guidance where in doubtPromotes additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell, in a manner that is and courteousAttends all regular departmental briefings and contributes to an open communication within the assigned teamHelps in other areas of the Hotel if the situation requiresResponsible for the storing of all equipment after each function and for keeping it inproper working conditionsResponsible for the proper coordination of all personalized service in the sectionDuring Service, he/she will assist and help the guest in every possible way, exceedingexpectation wherever possibleHe/She will coordinate their stations making sure uniformity of service and correct services are adhered to at all timesOn completion of service he/she will personally take inventory and document in the prescribed form/mannerEnsuring that team meet and exceed guest expectations through effective continuous trainingMonitor and minimizes on breakage, costs and expenses by ensuring proper handling of all FF&E and operating equipment Ensure that the hotel always complies with local health authority regulations Is familiar and complies with the company’s internal policies and all safety proceduresKeeps self-updated on all business activities of equal competitors and changing industry trendsLooks for creative ways to promote and execute strong guest relations activities and procedures with regular and VIP guestsEnsures the safety of the people and property within the premises by applying hotel regulations, adhering to existing laws and regulationsRequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Service, Food Production or its equivalent5+ years of experience with last 3 in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel/Night Club environment with proven track recordProficiency in Ms Office, especially Microsoft Word, ExcelOutstanding ability to diagnose and resolve problems swiftlyStrong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environmentsExcellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work styleCommitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industryAbility to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendationsPersonal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energyStrong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skillsOutstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspectiveExcellent ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures in a global environmentAn open, positive and communicative personalityAbility to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
