Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) is the foodservice division of Unilever. We work across the world to support, inspire and progress our customers - Chefs - the so-called operators. We innovate and leverage Unilever's brands to increasingly support and inspire Chefs to be able to tackle the challenges of today, and consequently to progress in what they do tomorrow.


Our UFS The Netherlands team is set up in an agile organization in which teams work closely together. Together we support several key operator groups. Our digital ecosystem is vital for a great operator experience and to drive integrated demand both online and offline. Our marketing team consists of portfolio, operator, digital & trade marketers. They manage and develop portfolio initiatives and drive effective campaigns across trade, operators and channels.

As the trade marketing & e-commerce manager you will take the lead position of the trade marketing team and at the same time, work hands on as an expert in marketing collaborations with our strategic trade partners Bidfood & Huuskes. You will be closely collaborating with these trade partners to create effective omnichannel marketing campaigns - co-created with operator marketing. You will be using our trade partners' touchpoints, analyzing to choose the most effective ones to maximize sales conversion while prioritizing digital touchpoints. In addition, you will be responsible to maximize sales conversion via ecommerce by ensuring the right exposure of the UFS portfolio. You will also accelerate category management for both internal and external stakeholders, by reviewing our different product-categories based on market data, operator insights and competitor intelligence. And together with portfolio marketing you define the category visions. You have 1 direct report to coach and develop and you will be reporting into the marketing lead for UFS Netherlands.

• You collaborate closely with our trade partners - with Bidfood & Huuskes as your key strategic partners - to understand their needs and maximize strategic growth opportunities for UFS, creating a win-win.
• You craft relevant, need-based marketing campaigns by identifying growth opportunities through data and insights, beneficial to both UFS and its Trade Partners.
• You have 1 direct report who manages the other 2 strategical partners (Sligro & Hanos) and you work closely together to manage the different channel marketing plans for the whole trade landscape.
• Your team also works with an intern that supports you with all campaign executions.
• You create compelling content by partnering with the brand and marketing teams.
• You drive the e- commerce strategy and operations through Perfect Store Online and an increased emphasize on availability and findability on 3rd party platforms.
• You define e-commerce content needs and implements content warehousing and flows to 3rd party web shops and others compatible with industry standards.
• You lead category management by utilizing available resources, data and insights to craft long term category reviews and plans.
• You maximize the growth potential of the UFS portfolio at the trade by creating insightful, relevant trade stories for innovations & renovations.
• You empower both internal and external customers with relevant category information, to allow UFS to win with Trade Partners and end users.
• You will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary operator conversion team that is responsible for the growth of our operators in care-homes & business catering as well as butchers.

• You have 6+ years of working experience in trade marketing, sales or category management in FMCG, ideally manager's experience.
• You are fluent in Dutch (MANDATORY)
• You have experience in Food Service/OOH Food (MANDATORY)
• You love partnering with trade (our clients) to build value propositions and campaigns that create growth and value to their business, whilst simultaneously driving reach and penetration for UFS.
• You have a good understanding of different shopping missions, operator lifecycle, buying journeys, local trade channel landscapes and understanding of their touchpoints.
• You have experience in generating insights with 3rd party transactional and behavioral data (Sligro Insights, Bidfood Insights, Nielsen, Foodstep,...).
• You have the ability to dig deep into new opportunities and autonomously create value in previously undiscovered areas through optimizing the process to reach that opportunity.
• You have excellent project management planning skills.
• You have a natural eagerness to truly understand the pains and gains of your target audience. Understand how they think and act, focusing on Trade Partners primarily.
• You have a good understanding of 7 Omnichannel Assets (7OA) and why it is important and can improve Perfect Store online scores with better 7OA implementation.
• Ability to properly analyze the results of campaigns and optimize them accordingly.
