As Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, drive market growth and market share through trade-up in our lead region of male grooming electric products. Come join us and focus on China - the biggest source of business and size category in the global Philips Male Grooming business.

You will need a deep understanding of source of business, portfolio strategy & management, marketing planning and new product launches. You will enter the fast-paced, multinational environment of Philips Personal Health in the global headquarters in Amsterdam. You can contribute to fundamentally improving people’s Health & Well-being through meaningful innovation, whilst advancing your career in a global environment.

You are responsible for
As Senior Consumer Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the fast growing region of China recruit & low end ranges. You will help to deliver new innovations to the region, align portfolio and range build up, communication, activation, promo strategy and claim roadmap. You will manage current portfolio in market to deliver top and bottom line targets (including SKU rationalization, phase in phase out).

If portfolio gap identifies, you will drive the definition, development and introduction of new value propositions for China, in respective price tier. You will translate in-depth market-, consumer-, shopper insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts by defining product positioning. You will identify and optimize the winning concepts, to integrate them into strategic product roadmaps, and develop and bring the concept from idea to market.

You will drive upstream marketing activities for the given product range / solutions, including definition of the strategy and its enablers as well as its alignment with key markets globally.

o Value proposition, mid-life update development based on customer insights,

o Drive development of new business model propositions and go to market,

o Claims roadmaps,

o Business case,

o Pricing (price setting) and margin optimization,

o Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio.

You will steer the related product development (PDLM) process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and market introduction. You'll interact with various disciplines including Innovation, Technology & Development departments (Singapore), internal and external design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organizations.

You will help to extend the lifecycle of existing products by contributing with your marketing views and passion for the consumer. Lastly, you will interact on a regular basis with our marketing teams in key markets and ensure a successful product launch that fits with the local market needs.

You are part of

The global team of Grooming & Beauty Business Unit, part of global Philips Personal Health, liaising with marketers in various countries around the world. You may require (limited) travelling. You help coaching marketing interns, and marketing managers on the job and contribute to their professional development. You will be working in a network of various stakeholders based in the headquarters of Philips in The Netherlands (innovation & development experts, consumer marketing team, central communication team, market intelligence specialists) and in the Market Organizations mainly in China, Europe and North America (e.g. marketing specialists, key account managers).

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
• Executive presence - a critical requirement in this senior role.
• 5-7 years of upstream and downstream marketing experience in global branded FMCG or durable consumer goods including new product introductions and life cycle management in a global or regional context.
• Success track record from a similar global position driving marketing and innovation plans across markets.
• Experience with new product development and new product introductions (NPDs).
• Experience of consumer market research and market intelligence.
• Understanding of retail market dynamics, having dealt with product promotions, trade marketing, shopper marketing activations, product launches and/or marketing communications to drive business results and growth.
• Knowledge and ability to apply value based pricing to optimize and manage a portfolio of products.
• Demonstrated that you can think conceptually from a broad business perspective taking both strategic as well as operational aspects into consideration. You can steer and guide our local country organizations in executing business plans.
• Excellent analytic and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders both externally and internally.
• International mindset and the ability to talk efficiently to different people in different countries.
• Fluent English (fluency in Chineese is not required, but will be a plus).
