Job Description

The Product Data team has an opening for an Entry Level Operations Data Analyst on the Product Data Configuration Team. This team defines and governs product data to ensure quality and consistency across the company. This individual will be responsible for ensuring successful product launches by providing configuration management support to Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales in all areas related to sellable products.

This person should appreciate the value of data and how that data represents our products. The candidate will possess competencies or willingness to learn skills in data analysis, communication, project management, initiating action, decision-making, adaptability, driving for results, and business analysis.

Primary Responsibilities
• Create and manage part numbers throughout their lifecycle
• Set and maintain pricing attributes
• Author product data according to standards and policies in the Product Information Management system 
• Perform data... analysis, data gathering, and data population
• Drive and maintain large company processes that ensure the launch of Product Data to other platforms like ni.com
• Approve product changes submitted by Product Marketing Managers
• Facilitate the product data request process
• Work simultaneously on several SLA-based requests/projects 
• Provide worldwide pricing support
• Drive continuous improvement for configuration management processes
• Analyze software products, edition requests
• Participate in the production planning process
• Maintain and enforce data governance around our naming standards
• Understand the impacts data changes cause on our stakeholder’s systems

Requirements
• Minimum 0-2 years of industry experience
• University diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Experience in a customer-facing role in a high-tech environment
• Understanding NI's products and how NI engages customers is preferred
• Self-Starter, high-level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving skills
• A keen eye for detail and precision
• Good technical skills, comfortable working with technical teams
• Good personal organizational and project planning and management skills
• Teamwork skills are essential
• Excellent analytical skills
• Able to think through complex requests and understand “why” not just “how”
• Able to adapt to change
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks
• Able to comfortably use multiple software applications
• Must have a desire to ensure customer success as this position is service-oriented
• Flexibility to accommodate intermittent high volume of requests
