Introduction
Catalyst is our largest analytical unit focused on the optimisation and modernisation of our methods and processes by leveraging technology, automation, and visualisation. The team is also responsible for developing and executing our custom productised solutions (NextGen practice) that allow us to answer our clients' critical business questions faster. Part of Euromonitor's growth strategy is to further expand our Catalyst team to better support the growth of productised custom solutions as well as our centralisation efforts across the business.
Overview of the Role
We are looking for a leader for motivated self-starters who are excited by working in a diverse, international environment and believe in building a centre of excellence in Mexico. If you believe in learning, building new things and making a difference, this opportunity might be for you. The position will report into a local Consulting or Product Manager.

Team management and support
• Mentors, guides, and supports the development of individual team members.
• Supports recruitment of new team members.
• Helps identify the strengths and gaps of individuals to support their personal growth.
• Conducts meaningful team sessions, including cascading down information, ideation and minutes.
• Takes responsibility of the successful execution of deliverables of all team members.
• Ensures that team members adhere to best practices and guidelines.
• Ensures that proper internal handover takes place ahead of any external project kick-off.
• Supports team members in client engagements to ensure that client expectations are aligned to scope, while making sure that client objectives are met.
• Ensures that effective and timely communication takes place from team members to support successful, prompt, and high-quality project delivery.
• Promotes Catalyst by participating in share-out sessions.
• Develops tools, methods, processes to monitor workload and all elements of the teams’ workflow.
• Ensures effective team capacity utilisation and facilitates efficient project allocation by prompt and accurate capacity updates and close collaboration with line management.
• Ensures that the team leverages all research inputs, new tools & methods, improve our solutions.
• Work with team members to create a team spirit of emphatic and proactive project leaders.
• Ensure that the team tracks and manages time logs, project costs and budgets through the accurate and timely update of Salesforce and time logs.
Methodology and research management
• Takes responsibility for overall research methodology design, working very closely with Catalyst team members, Analytics, Data Science, Technology, Syndicated, etc.
• Reviews, tests, and takes ownership of the framework by which all data inputs are brought together into strong client deliverables.
• Owns the deliverable with inputs from teams across the business including our CG and Syndicated research teams, Data Science and Analytics.
• Responsible for overall quality control, signing-off on data and final reporting ahead of client delivery.
• Distils and implement complex research methodologies into powerful client deliverables.
• Takes responsibility of the quality of all research outputs, client engagements and level of service of the entire team.
Content, analysis and editorial
• Checks for errors in grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Edits and polish existing content to improve style and readability.
• Creates compelling headlines and analysis that captures the reader's attention.
• Generates succinct conclusions and strategic analysis using resources provided.
• Completes a full review of all generated content via querying, validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to ensure client objectives are met.
Quality control
• Helps determine and addresses the root cause of data quality errors and recommends improvements.
• Collaborates with Catalyst team members and Data Science to correct data quality errors.
• Develops good relationships with users across the company to resolve any data quality issues.
• Develops data quality best practice guidelines and providing user training to enhance data quality.
• Provides ad-hoc support to ensure that best practice is followed.
• Identifies areas of improvement to achieve higher standard data quality.
• Measures and reports to management on the progress of data quality improvement.
Project and stakeholder management
• Drives collaboration across consulting and syndicated research teams to enhance the quality of client deliverables.
• Identifies and connects with key stakeholders within the business, i.e., syndicated, sales, specialisations, innovation, technology, etc.
• Clearly defines what is needed from all stakeholders and ensures all are fully cognisant of priorities and their own impact on the project's goals.
• Collaborates with the whole project team to ensure the created content meets client objectives.
• Maintains good relationships with external and internal partners to find creative solutions and leverage the right mix of resources to deliver a best-in-class deliverable.
• Manage ongoing communication across the project team, internal and external.
• Lead client engagements, establishing strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Execute on large, repeat, global-scale repeat client business in the role of Global Project Coordinator or Global Project Manager.
Commercial support
• Engage with our sales and Business Development teams to help evaluate clients' needs.
• Ensures profitability on projects, while balancing a commercial approach to penetrate new business and retain key clients.
• Support proposal development of NextGen solutions, assess feasibility, price, and design.

The experience
• At least three years’ experience in research
• Strong track record in Research and Consulting activities
• Ability to use desk research effectively to bolster and verify insight from other sources
• Strong strategic analysis and report writing skills; the ability to use all insights gather to build a comprehensive summary report and provide insight beyond client deliverables
• Confidence in engaging with senior company executives to gain additional insight and validate information found in the public domain
• High level of numeracy; the ability to build data models and run comprehensive checks across complex data sets compiled from various sources
• Solid understanding of Passport reports, data, and methodology
• Solid understanding of Via, coverage, pinpoints, leading custom solutions
• Experience in Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio, Qlik Sense, R, Python or JavaScript is an advantage
