You will join our New Product Engineering team in Offshore Equipment which is responsible for cutting-edge technology designs for all standard lifting and transport solution for our new Offshore turbines. The team is closely cooperating with the turbine development modules, making sure all brand-new turbine designs can be transported and lifted in the future on time and on cost.
New Product Engineering team in Offshore Equipment is also closely linked to the Sales & Execution organization which takes care of all customer, country, and harbor specific requirements.
The team is based in Vejle/Denmark with cooperation partners and co-workers based in Spain, Poland and India. The team works in a very inspiring multi-cultural environment to the highest standards.

How to contribute to our vision

To strengthen our Engineering Team, you can contribute with an eye and focus on developing innovative designs and technology concepts for new transport & lifting equipment for the next generations of wind turbines keeping up with their steady increase in size and weight in a cost-efficient manner. In addition, it would be required an open mind on checking existing equipment for suitability with new requirements and developing retrofit solutions if required as well as continuous new technologies search for our new equipment designs. But most importantly a critical technical alignment with various stakeholders throughout SGRE would be a must.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

We are looking for a design focused engineer with a MSc in Mechanical, Marine, Civil, or similar Engineering combined with 4-5 years of relevant work experience in wind turbines, ship building, lifting equipment development or similar. Knowledge in Design and Manufacturing Processes in this area, including but not limited to bolt connections, welds and rigging by hand and understands the physics behind. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.

Furthermore, you like to
Prepare a concept design based on experience.Calculate simple and semi-complex structures in FE beam-software.Use ANSYS for the remaining highly complex and non-linear structures and load cases.Use advanced Excel and Matlab/Python/Octave or similar
