Job Description:

The job of a product manager of an empowered' product team is to be responsible and accountable for addressing value and viability risk. The PM defines strategy and roadmap and works closely together with cross functional peers and the team throughout the product development process to deliver value to our players and business.

Note: An empowered product team is defined as a cross- functional, persistent team with clear mandate and ownership of their outcomes.

What is the Product Manager accountable for?

Value - Making sure what we build and ship to our players/users is valuable from both a player/user and business perspective (both short and long term)

Although not the formal manager for anyone in the team... the PM is expected to work with the team and cross- functional managers to make it happy and impactful

What are the areas of responsibility and what are the deliverables within each area?

Strategy & plans
• Define strategy, roadmap and delivery plans for area of responsibility and incorporate learnings or external changes to continuously update plans and priorities
• Articulate and continuously track success metrics
• Actively seek input and make sure plans are well- aligned with all parts of the product area/Candy/King

Managing workflow
• Set ways of working suitable for context and team
• Ensure team is happy and successful (shared with cross- functional managers)
• Slice work smartly to deliver value continuously and mitigate risk

Communication
• Clearly communicate updates of ongoing work to stakeholders and relevant parties, either through already existing forums or build new formats as needed

High quality decision making
• Ensure clear decision making by making it transparent and leveraging the relevant decision inputs
• Balance quantitative and qualitative sources of information and make sure all perspectives are taken into account when making decisions
• Document and communicate decision outcomes to relevant stakeholders
