The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Unit Manager (Children's Inpatient Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will
• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver efficient and sustainable family centred care
• Work closely with the Children's Health Services CNCs, Nurse Navigators, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Educators and the wider interdisciplinary team
• Ensure high quality, family-centric, health care... is provided to children and their families
• Be responsible for a range of managerial tasks including, roster development, workload reporting, recruitment and succession planning, workforce development, and complaints management

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• AHPRA Registration
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $128 701 - $139 732 per annum

About Us

Gold Coast Health's Children's Health Service provides a Level 4/5 Paediatric Service as per the Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework. The 36 bed Children's Inpatient Unit and busy Ambulatory Service has the capability to plan and deliver holistic medical, surgical and sub-specialty child and family centred care for infants and children from birth to 17 years of age. Children's Health Services is supported by a 4 bed Children's Critical Care Unit, Children's Hospital in the Home, Adolescent and Young Adult Service, Paediatric Emergency Department, Complex Care Team and a Child Protection Unit. Based at Southport.
