As an Associate Scientist in P&G Global Product Stewardship organization, you will work within the Global Safety Data Sheet Service which is responsible for the creation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the ongoing development of processes with a high focus on Digital ‘end-to-end’ Innovation, to support key dataflows. This is an opportunity to gain an intensive immersion in the exciting and challenging compliance world we work in, right from the start.

Key... Responsibilities:
• Serve as part of the Safety Data Sheet Authoring Team, working with the team to deliver a variety of class leading quality Safety Data Sheets.
• Utilise various digital data streams, working to understand, optimise and streamline these flows of data.
• Deliver all key metrics of service as well as contributing / implementing a continuous improvement approach, including partnering with IT developers to enable systematic solutions
• Organise and streamline data flows related to the SDS request, to support detailed audit trail and quality improvement.
• Manage and work to understand the root cause problems with the digital data stream of information required to create a SDS
• Create SDS using approved current best approach and digitalize the service.
• Communicate with customers globally, when issues arise, with aim to resolve quickly and systemically in partnership with multifunctional teams, i.e., IT, R&D, Marketing, Product Supply

Qualifications
• A Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Materials or Life Sciences
• Python (or C#) programming languages, ideally demonstrated through personal projects.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously - to prioritize, park and react to changing requirements of our customers
• Experience and ability to work with various protocols - to stick to the process, ensuring consistency of regulated documentation, while in parallel propose continuous improvement of work processes.
• Office 365 capability, with onus on excellent Excel & database usage skills.
• Strong levels of personal ownership, a high degree of initiative as well as a positive attitude.

PREFERRED CAPABILITY
• Experience with digital technologies & data flow. Experience of databases, data movement, digital innovation and management.
• Previous experience with cheminformatics (e.g. specific academic courses / academic research project) is also a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL language and relational databases principles as well as experience with Azure Databricks would be an advantage.
• Experience in cheminformatics or bioinformatics would be an advantage.
