Summary
We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Physical Education teacher, who will be part of a dynamic and highly successful physical education department.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:
• Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people ( child protection )
• Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum
• Deliver an active, hands-on, and student-centred programme to promote learning in physical education courses to students
• Maintain students attendance records, grades, and other required records
• Evaluate and grade students class work and assignments
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations
• Assist students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class
• Observe, monitor, and record student progress
• Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
• Initiate, facilitate, and... moderate classroom discussions
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction
• Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences
• Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues
• Demonstrate creativity
• Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues
• Provide supervision to student after school activity or coach/assistant coach athletic teams
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or the Vice Principal
