The role
As a key member of the finance team, you would be expected to be both a credible and essential support to the Finance Managers and be fundamental in developing the wider management accounts team and the interactions with the wider Heroes company. Showing a... keen eye for detail you would be managing some key processes that require a high level of accuracy and a strong ownership of the associated processes.
Responsibilities
Owning all process related to our Virtual Card Credit system - Payhawk (a new and highly efficient auto-matching expense management processor) and the management of the integration between this and our ERP (NetSuite)
Ownership of the cash position and bank reconciliation process (including being heavily involved in the process for automation of the process of integrating our ERP to main functional banks)
Responsible for preparing elements of the m/e management pack, specifically the preparation/finalisation of the Balance Sheet, review of month end Balance Sheet reconciliations
Responsible for owning the other Virtual Card reconciliations and payments (e.,g marketing spend monitoring)
Business Partnering - owning the relationship between Finance and specific departments to give monthly updates on spend vs budget and work on re-forecasts / budgeting projects
Contribute to the preparation of the month end SE performance review, and management of the associated timetable
Leading/assisting in ad hoc reporting or financial analysis projects, as they arise.
About you
Accounting related undergraduate degree or currently studying for an accountancy qualification
Strong English skills (written and spoken)
Experience in an in-house finance department (minimum 3 years experience in total)
Self starter, proactive, able to understand and break down complicated problems autonomously and bring a solutions-based approach to difficult accounting issues.
Organised with good attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues at all levels.
Willing to adapt and pick up new techniques and technologies.
Able to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Cleared to work in your country of residence.
Experience with a fast moving e-commerce or retail business and NetSuite would be beneficial.

The recruitment process: first, you will have a 20 /30 minutes call with a member of our talent acquisition team. If the outcome is positive, you will speak to the hiring manager for a 45 / 60 minutes video interview. You will then be asked to work on a case study to present in a 60 minutes interview with the hiring manager and a member of the team, and will meet with a senior member of Heroes' team for a final 30 minutes chat.
