This role is based in our Manchester office. As Systems Administrator you’ll provide technical support within IT Operations. This includes 1st through to 3rd line support for all information services as well as delivering project tasks in line with the IT strategy.

The role also involves continuous improvement work to maintain an exemplary level of service across the business.

About the role:

• Handle walk-ups from users within the office seeking assistance.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for problem resolution, including reproduction of issues, reporting defects, and providing workarounds.

• Produce/update all support documentation.

• Pro-actively manage, maintain, and develop IT capacity and performance across the associated technology stack.

• Assist in the design and implementation of technical solutions addressing key business goals.

• Highlight all observed technical risks.

• Create and maintain knowledge base articles for reuse throughout the support department.

• Understand customer needs and the business impact of loss of service.

• Be an ambassador for Information Services.

• Be willing to assist with manual work, such as office moves and hardware relocation. Page 3 of 4

About you (ideally):

• Microsoft 365 suite from Azure Active Directory and Intune to Office Apps and SharePoint and Exchange Online.

• PowerShell and/or Python programming languages.

• Experience using Rest APIs & JSON.

• Understand the principals of automation for business processes.

• Configuration & troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 and MacOS devices.

• Software deployment and management.

• Mobile Device Management (Jamf/Casper and Intune).

• Motivated self-starter with good time management. Essential Experience:

• Previous experience in a System Administration based role.

• AWS management, including writing of policies, IAM roles and Lambda functions.

• Microsoft 365. • Microsoft Azure.

• Microsoft (Azure) Active Directory.

• Microsoft Exchange Online. • Working in a SaaS delivered IT environment. • Configuration management. • Print server management.

• Hardware and Software Asset Management.

Desired Experience:

• Azure Automation & Logic Apps (or Microsoft Flow).

• Administration of the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello).

• Salesforce administration.

• Managing a decentralised estate.

• Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code.

Desired Qualifications & Certification:

• Microsoft certification in appropriate cloud technology (both Azure and Microsoft 365).

• AWS.

• GCP.
