Engineering Manager, Mobile Bogotá

Location: Remote in Bogotá-Colombia

The Engineering Manager Mobile will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and implementing a suite of APIs, modules, and features, as well as modifying and maintaining existing applications in response to business and technology needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the software development lifecycle of our mobile apps, including: Estimation, Wireframing, Design, Implementation, Review, Test Automation, Documentation and Publishing
• Support the business by gathering requirements and setting delivery schedules
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bring excellent customer experiences to life
• Work closely with backend developers to develop mobile clients for REST APIs

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Fluency with at least one cross-platform mobile stack such as Flutter or React Native
• Experience creating functional designs
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs in apps
• Experience developing... unit and functional tests for mobile apps
• Experience developing mobile SDKs
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM
• Understanding of development best practices and standards (test-driven development, design patterns, coding standards, etc.).
• Self-learner with good problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal, communications and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TCP networking
• Experience with Python
• Good understanding of native Android and iOS APIs
• Good Understanding of “OWASP Mobile Top 10” Application Security Risks
• Familiarity with common software tools, such as Git and Jenkins
• Familiarity with GDPR and CCPA
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
