Job Description
Overview

This internship will pay $17.00/hour

This internship will be working on site in Peoria, IL at the JUMP Trading Simulation and Education Center. This internship will require the student to work full time hours (Monday-Friday). The student will start in the internship end of May 2023 and work until end of July 2023 or beginning of August 2023.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Analytics Learning & Multimedia Specialist Intern works directly with department staff, project teams, and may work directly with internal clients to develop and create visual educational content. The Analytics Learning & Multimedia Specialist Intern exhibits strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and written and oral communication.

This position will work in our Peoria office. Housing will be the responsibility of the intern. Employment is limited to the length of time defined prior to the start of the internship (typically four to ten weeks).

The intern will be assigned a project sponsor and take part in projects with predefined tasks and set milestones. Assignments will include developing educational content for analytical tools using photographic and/or video in-studio and on location.

Collaborates with subject matter experts to create measurable and achievable learning objectives, curriculum and educational materials.

Designs and creates graphics, print materials and video tutorials, working to ideate creative and effective solutions, openly embracing feedback, and engaging additional expertise where appropriate.

Coordinate, film and edit photo and video sequences into final product(s).

Learn from a variety of stakeholders within analytics including business intelligence, advanced analytics, population health, data warehousing, and analytics leadership.

Works both independently and in collaboration with others on team oriented project work.

At the conclusion of the internship, the Analytics Learning & Multimedia Specialist Intern will create educational material to ensure learners achieve learning objectives. Interns will present projects to leadership and may also be considered for future career opportunities within our ministry.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Junior or senior level student currently enrolled in a college or university working towards an advanced degree in multimedia, film, videography, photography or related visual communications discipline.

At least a 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) overall current undergraduate GPA.

Understanding of image composition and variety of lighting techniques.

Knowledge of animation techniques, video and audio editing and compositing (nonlinear), video compression and authoring standards for final deliverables.

Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Camtasia, Panopto, or similar production and post-production tools highly recommended.

Other skills/knowledge:

Strong interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills are required.

Demonstrated ability to work on collaborative marketing or project teams and receive and act upon feedback from others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous course work or experience in related field.
