Job Description Summary

The Office of Communications leads the strategic planning and tactical execution of the Law School's internal and external communications. Communications focuses on digital strategy and print production, with services ranging from video and editorial content creation to photography, graphic design, event promotion, public relations, and social media management.

Job Description

Duties: The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for creating compelling photo and video content to enhance the Law School's visual brand effectively and consistently. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing Operations, the Multimedia Specialist conceptualizes and delivers impactful media for web and social platforms through the creation of video, photography, and animated graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Working closely with members of the Office of Communications team, oversee all facets of photo and video production, including, but not limited to, defining project scope and story development, gathering video and audio footage, editing, and post-production. Plan and manage multiple projects, communicating with stakeholders throughout the production process.
• Applying top level technical experience, compose and edit various source media to produce high quality video footage using production software. Complete all projects at a high level, including but not limited to color correction and audio enhancement. Caption videos to ensure accessibility.
• Create field and studio production schedules. Ensure coordinated scheduling between departments, vendors, and the Law School community members for production shoots.
• Provide on-location photography and video coverage as needed at the Law School, including gathering visual elements for use as stock images for use in marketing and communications materials.
• Maintain equipment inventory and recommend software and hardware additions for consideration.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be comfortable working under pressure and be extremely organized.
• Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of experience with a strong background in video production and editing are required
• Demonstrated knowledge of photo and video field production, in-house production, and post-production procedures providing an expert videography and editing skill set with an understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Ability to demonstrate strong multimedia production experience, including an understanding of proper lighting and audio techniques
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a short turnaround time.
• Must be proficient in multiformat encoding
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Adherence to the Penn Carey Law Staff Ideals required
