Purpose Of Position

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a junior Industrial Engineer, with 2-3 years experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably automotive or component manufacturing. The purpose of the IE is to assist in designing layouts and processes that increase productivity, eliminate waste and reduce costs while maintaining world class quality standards within an organization. This is a permanent position based in Cato Ridge, eThekwini Durban Kwazulu Natal.

Minimum Requirements
• Matric; Degree in Industrial Engineering
• Own transport, able to work extended hours
• Able to work on site in Cato Ridge
• 2-3 years experience in automotive manufacturing; components or production sectors.
• Critical thinking; analytical thinking; OHS

Duties
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades
• Reviewing... production schedules, processes, specifications and related information
• Assist in Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste
• Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues
• Develop design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel
• Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses and estimated production costs
• Design the layout of facilities and determine personnel requirements
• Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals
