For over 75 years, our success has been a direct result of the talent, skills and... persistence of our people, and we are looking for an ETF Sales Support to join our ETF business in EMEA (location is flexible: London, Milan, Frankfurt or Paris) What is the ETF Business responsible for? Franklin Templeton launched its first ETFs in Europe back in 2017 focussing on Smart Beta strategies initially but also looking at Active ETFs and plain-vanilla building blocks to give investors a panel of solutions depending on their objectives. This is still a new initiative for our business which is deeply committed to make it a success. This is a new position based in either London or Paris focusing on supporting our existing ETF sales force based in EMEA in order to help to sell our ETF proposition to investors. The existing team member will be moving into a full-time sales role. The ETF Sales Support will work very closely with the existing ETF Sales Teams. The successful candidate will report into the Head of ETF Sales EMEA. What are the ongoing responsibilities of the ETF Sales Support Associate? Build in depth knowledge of existing ETF range + new products Building strong relationships with the existing Sales, Marketing, Product, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management Teams Initiating and managing relationships with prospects and relevant segment intermediaries under the guidance of the Senior ETF Sales Specialist. Hosting and attending some meetings with prospects and supporting the management of all aspects of opportunity and prospect qualification process. Maintaining and ensuring a high degree of accuracy of prospect information and sales activity on the CRM system Work closely with Senior ETF Sales Specialists to define which industry events and in-house ones would support the ETF initiative in the local market. Attend and represent the firm at those chosen events. Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements Demonstrate initiative in the effort to develop and improve sales and marketing materials (i.e. pitch books, presentations and other sales materials) What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? Bachelor's degree ideally within the field of Finance and/or economics or equivalent work experience Professional experience in the ETF field required: internship / or 1-2 years of experience in ETFs already Ideally CFA or equivalent qualification Strong understanding of financial markets preferably on the following segments (Asset Managers, Family Offices, Banks, Discretionary Managers, Insurance Companies…). Good working knowledge of the investment industry and investment management techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English + 1 other language (preferably Italian, German or French) Ability to navigate complex organisations on multi levels / geographies and build internal networks Results focused and a self-starter / Multi-tasking Strong team player with the ability to use own initiative Travel may be required depending on geographies covered but also to attend internal events.
