We are looking... for a Head of Accounting and Tax to join the leadership team in Finance and continue the development of a world-class accounting function that can support our fast-growing business. At the same time, continue to lift the bar in the quality of the numbers. This includes a complete transition to IFRS, faster closing processes, and improved documentation and compliance.

The accounting team is the backbone of the finance area and is responsible for the following:

Bookkeeping in all of Veo’s entities (DK, US, and Australia)

Financial controlling

Tax

VAT

Audit

Payrolls

As a Head of Accounting, you will have a broad responsibility from operation to development and should ensure high quality in all facets of the accounting section – this will be performed in close collaboration with the Head of Financial Planning and the CFO as well as towards the broader organization and external parties. You can expect to be met with challenging development tasks and responsibilities where you will learn and grow personally and on a leadership level.

Primary tasks:
• * Lead the accounting and tax teamDrive a continued improvement of the month/period closure on financial accounts in the accounting team.
• Implement internal accounting procedures and controls that will support efficient workflows.
• Drive the transition to full IFRS from 2023.
• Drive accountings contributions in cross-functional projects like establishment of new legal entities, setup of new distribution models etc. that can have accounting, tax and VAT consequences.
• Monitor local tax compliance, work with tax consultancies and ensure compliance with the group’s transfer pricing policies.
• Engage with group auditors and ensure compliance with local audit requirements.
• Implement an internal control framework suitable for Veo’s size and ambitions.
• Work with the organization to adjust operational processes and facilitate the performance of internal controls.
• Participate in the development of the annual report to a new level.
• Participate in the Finance management team
