Objectives of the Role:
• Ensure that company books are balanced, company’s obligations are covered, and that management can make confident business decisions based on sound financial data.
• Prepare and examine financial records, identifies potential areas of opportunity and risk, and provides solutions for business.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Complying with all company and country accounting and financial regulations.
• Compiling, analysing and reporting financial data.
• Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Computing taxes.
• Ensure the effective operation of the Creditor Payment function.
• Ensure the Treasury Management and banking functions operate in accordance with legislative, regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
• Assisting management in the... decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Assist with the planning, testing, training, implementation and review of all aspects of computerized financial system.
• Provide financial input into reports to Committees and other working groups as required.
• Interpret legislative and regulatory requirements where necessary and ensure any resulting amendments to processes or procedures are implemented.

Personal Requirements:
• Thorough knowledge of French accounting regulations and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Understanding of mathematics, accounting and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Disciplined and strong ownership to area of responsibility and problem solving.
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Good level of English
• Experience in international transportation is a bonus.
