Cedar is currently partnered with a hyper-fast growth VC-backed technology firm, at the cutting edge of their industry, to help them secure an Interim Senior Technical Accountant. The role is to support the UK team, but can operate remotely. The role is a 4 month initial contract, paying a day rate between £550-750 Outside IR35.

The Role

As Interim Senior Technical Accountant, You Will Cover
• Lead in the preparation, documentation and implementing of controls in financial reporting and group accounting, with an aim of achieving PLC standards of reporting.
• Work closely with exec board and be the first contact for all internal & external concerns related to our group-wide accounting function.
• Advise senior... management on the consistent interpretation and correct implementation of IFRS standards.
• Develop Group accounting policies and procedures via an accounting manual and position papers.
• Further improve, establish and lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Be the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Develop Group accounting policies and procedures via an accounting manual and position papers.
• Research and document the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements, and assess impact.

Your Profile

You Will Ideally Have
• A formal Accountancy Qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CA, etc)
• Experience writing IFRS notes/disclosures from scratch.
• Experience with IFRS 2, IFRS 3, IFRS 9.
• Prior experience in an interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
• Experience within a large complex listed environment would be beneficial.
• The rate of £550-750 per day (Outside IR35) represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
