Our client is a global electronics company which has been a world leader in its space for over 50 years. They want to hire an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer with at 8+ years experience in Canada.

This is a full-time, permanent role with an attractive compensation package.

The team is working onsite in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Overview:

Leverage your experience designing analogue and digital circuits for machine automation and naval machinery and organize and lead projects for this very stable and growing innovator. Projects will begin with assisting in the preparation of estimates and technical write-ups through project planning, design, troubleshooting, through qualification testing and possible set-to-work activities on-board naval vessels.

Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System

Design and maintain electronic systems for military naval systems.

Analyze customer needs and determine electrical system requirements, capacity, and... cost.

Support interfacing disciplines such as mechanical, software, test, customer support, manufacturing, production, product management and project management.

Develop testing and maintenance procedures and Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science.

8 plus years of hands-on experience designing analogue and digital circuits

or machine automation for defense/aerospace industry

Experience with naval or airborne machinery including winches, large projects, and their management, as well as government and international customers would be an asset

Must be proficient in detailing system design, motor controls, operator panel layout, cabling, control logic methodologies & electro-hydraulic controls.

Familiar with packaging of electrical and electronics assemblies

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Must be Canadian citizen and able to obtain and maintain security clearance of secret level or higher
