· Collaborates with the Director to develop an internal audit plan using strategies that appropriately consider the relevant and evolving business and operational risks facing the organization and manages those risks effectively.

· Manages the organization's internal audit plan, which is meant to document and evaluate internal controls, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and identify and mitigate business risks.

· Plans and oversees audits of various functional areas to determine the effectiveness of risk management practices or internal controls.

· Analyzes audit results, prepares presentations of findings, and develops recommendations meant to reduce risk.

· Identifies control and process deficiencies and reports the findings to management through effective communication.

· Provides recommendations for improvements.

· Documents, assess, and maintain detailed process descriptions including internal control walkthroughs, narratives, flow charts, and control matrices.

· Coordinates with external auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Broad knowledge of the fundamental audit strategies

· Strong research skills; strong problem-solving skills.

· Outgoing personality

· Strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships

· Minimum three or more years of applicable experience required.

· Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus

· Travel – day trips (company vehicle) and occasional one night overnight trips
