Hotel Bar Manager - The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa - Chester, Cheshire

Nelson's Bar at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa are looking to recruit a Bar Manager to join the management team and support the General Manager in the day to day operation of Nelsons Bar. The objective of the Bar Manager is to drive bar sales, to manage all areas of the bar, ensuring the highest standards are maintained both in terms of service and hygiene, training of staff, cashing up tills, maintaining a clean bar, cleaning the cellar and maintaining the quality of beer and wine.

In fulfilling your duties, you must engage and develop the knowledge and initiative of employees following the clear management structure. The Bar Manager has the responsibility to motivate their employees, encourage excellent performance and ensure high levels of staff retention.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of fine wines and ales, and previous experience working as a Bar Manager/Senior/Experienced Assistant Manager in a high-volume establishment is desirable.

Requirements / Qualifications of an Bars Manager
• You could be a senior/experienced Assistant Manager looking to take on your next challenge.
• Experience in a Gastro Pub or Restaurant - a proven track record!
• Strong leadership skills, energetic, hardworking and hand’s on manager.
• To be able to work independently and lead a team.
• A great understanding of customer service with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• You will be structured in your approach, be adaptable to change and you will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Good Knowledge of H&S compliance.
• A Personal licence would be an advantage but is not required.
