Due to expansion, the Chestfield Barn have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Manager to join their team. We’re looking for one full-time Bar Manager.

The Chestfield Barn is a beautiful old barn; Alan and michele have been leading the team as Landlords for 6 years.

Our new Bar Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Landlords to run a successful, busy pub/restaurant with a fast-pace.

This is an exciting role for the right person; you must have previous management/supervisory experience within a hospitality environment.

Duties will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Assisting the manager in the general day-to-day running of the business by rotaing, supervising staff, keeping an eye on stock levels etc.

- Ordering stock, cellar management and general bar duties.

- To support the general manager during their shifts, by supporting the restaurant floor area. stepping in when general manager is on annual leave or on their day off.

- Training new members of staff so they... have a good idea of stock, menus, drinks, processes.

- Building good relationships with the team and customers, including the kitchen team.

- Assisting in the business planning and aiding in its growth.

- Delegating tasks to ensure everything is covered.

- Table planning and organising service.

- Being a point of contact for people having their events with us.

- Be a supportive, organised member of the team.

- Pitching in on the floor.

- Handling cash, cashing up and ordering change if need be.

- Acting as a Key Holder, locking up and opening up as need be.

To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be self-motivated, hard-working, and helpful. You’ll also value working within a team and be a good leader. Using your own initiative is a must, to ensure the smooth running of service. We’re looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude to work.

Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to work evenings and weekends, as well as public holidays such as Christmas and New Year's.
