Position Purpose: The Market Research Manager leads research projects across the company with a specific... focus on our Marketplace line of business. Work collaboratively with Marketing and line of business partners to proactively recommend, shape and execute research and analysis that uncover and communicate key market and consumer insights, provide context, and translate recommendations into actionable strategies. The Market Research Manager will use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative market research techniques and tools to execute research with agencies and individually.

Recommends, designs, and leads qualitative research, including focus groups, interviews, bulletin boards and other immersive techniques to uncover rich insights that shed light on new untapped opportunities
Recommends, plans, and leads quantitative research, including segmentation, buying journey, A&Us, concept tests, max/diff, conjoint and other techniques to gather information about consumer and member needs and preferences
Manages and leverages relationships with market research agencies to create flawless and insightful deliverables with rich, story driven analysis
Manages staff members who are responsible for assisting with for the end-to-end delivery of research projects
Ensures research best-practices are followed and study design is appropriate for the objectives of the research project
Creates and delivers crisp, story-driven presentations with thoughtful recommendations for future action that are grounded in a keen understanding of Health Insurance Marketplace dynamics
Serves as a trusted advisor to clients by leveraging deep category knowledge to understand their business needs and goals so research outcomes address those needs and are aligned with objectives
Conducts secondary research such as accessing existing databases to determine what has been done previously
Partners closely with Marketing Analytics team to develop an integrated view across data sources that helps drive awareness, engagement, enrollment, and loyalty.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Expert in Microsoft office tools Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau. Experience using marketing workflow and project management tools such as Workfront. Demonstrated ability to learn and or prior use of statistical tools (such as SPSS, R, Python) and statistical methods such as correlation. Experience with online data collection tools such as Qualtrics.
