The Buying Manager contributes to the trading strategy by sourcing great quality products, proactively leading the use of data and analysis to maximise performance to drive sales, profitability and share growth.

Responsibilities:
• Managing suppliers and products.
• Focuses on developing a product range, with guidance from Senior Buying Manager, with an eye on planning and trading of seasonal buys.
• Improves business performance, helping sales and marketing in the development of a product range, pricing, promotion actions and associated programmes.
• Builds sales and margin budgets for the category.
• Develops a strong buy/sell plan with suppliers while managing the value for money... index and optimising the key supplier base.
• Develops strong working relationships with UK Buying Teams and works with Technical to develop own label products (if relevant) for designated range.

Requirements:
• Buying Skills (Seasonal Buying experience would be advantageous)
• Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience within retail
• Negotiation skills
• Key commercial skills
• Analysing data and reporting
• Strong communication skills
• Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
