Location: Henley on Thames, Maidenhead and surrounding areas CLIENT Leader in recycling and waste management sector looking to hire a motivated, multi-talented and entrepreneurial leader in The London area ROLE / EXPERIENCE You will be able to forecast prepare budgets, as you will be required to maximise the profitability of the operation and implement strict cost controls. You will deliver a motivated and engaged workforce and an effective service, managing all resources and staff at your disposal and working within the terms of the service levels agreed with the client. CPC in Road Transport either National or International You will have a strong... commercial understanding of the waste Management industry or the industry that you work within and have evidence of overachieving budgets and KPI’s. Strong IT, communication, negotiation and presentation skills will be required. A team player and open communicator. You will work closely with the Waste Management sales division Someone who understands the value of customer service as a key point of differentiation within the waste management space You will understand compliance and have built strong relationships with bodies such as the EA and HSE. You may also have experience working within ISO standards. Up to date knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, 5S, Just in Time, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing would be beneficial. Due to the high volume collections nature of this role, a transport, multi drop delivery or collection depot manager background including parcels and courier services would be desirable. Any COTC in waste management and recycling a plus You MUST be committed to inspiring and enforcing a positive Health and Safety ethic within the team, ensuring the correct resources for a safe working environment are made available. IOSH & NEBOSH are desirable. Previous experience: Depot Manager, Waste & Recycling, Distribution, Transport Manager, Courier, Parcels, Multi Drop Collection and, Light Freight or Haulage or Distribution Manager, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) Operations Manager
