We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Junior API Developer. As a Junior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining application programming interfaces (APIs) and websites / systems that enable seamless integration and communication between different payment systems.

The ideal candidate is a talented junior developer who has the willingness to learn and understand our products and solutions and can work independently or with a team to create, maintain, and communicate both internal and client solutions we provide in a variety of industries. Proficiency with Environment - RestFul API, SOAP APIs... Other API protocols and standards, PHP, NGINX, Vue.js, MySQL, JavaScript, Bitbucket, Flutter, NativeScript, Web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, other similar applications and services is essential for succeeding in this role. Additionally having WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor, Shopify and other ecommerce tools is advantageous.

The jr. developer will have an immediate impact on our brand and those of our clients and will help solidify our relationship within our IT Team, Sales, Operations, and Clients.

Objectives of this role
• Fully understanding of the Products especially the technicalities to create and updating basic or minimal changes.
• Closely working with the 3rd party developers and leaders to provide a real-time and accurate update to the team.
• To maintain good relationships with Spectrum colleagues and acknowledge any concerns related to the products.
• To participate in all system tests before going live.
• Be proactive and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Problem solving skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in API.
• Responsibilities
• Meet regularly with other developers, accounts, sales, operations, products and solutions to determine any active concerns and update.
• Develop and maintain operational systems, tools, and processes, and participate in tactical and strategic development projects.
• Ensure software stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs .
• Make small edits requested by customers, develop plans for completing projects, and suggest solutions to improve existing websites and portals.
• Perform UI design and coding and create reusable objects and wireframes for web pages and email templates.
• Conduct good coding practises including inline and external documentation.
• Develop and maintain processes for good coding practises.
• Assist in research and generate new ideas to improve the products.

Required skills and qualifications.
• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in junior software development, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
• Not preferred but an advantage to have an experience in payment solutions, loyalty programs and blockchain.
• Proven success in existing systems and projects coordination.
• Experience in implementing web development, workflows and operations using a variety of tools, including GitHub, Mobile App development, and API Integrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of development and documentation.
