The Precision Converter Group (PCG) is a key technology franchise within ADI, developing industry-leading precision front-end solutions for Instrumentation, Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, Communications, and Consumer applications. PCG is seeking a digital design engineer to join our mixed-signal design team in developing state-of-the-art precision ADC and DAC products with significant digital content. This role would span the entire product development cycle from concept phase through design, verification, implementation, and release to customers. It would be a great opportunity to develop design skills under the direct mentorship of experienced engineers. There would be opportunities to collaborate within the wider ADI technical community and gain exposure to many technologies and products.
The position is based in Newbury, UK. As a digital design engineer, you will work closely with the team members to develop industry leading solutions for the precision converter market. The resource will interact and participate in the entire product development process including product definition, RTL design and verification, synthesis and PNR, silicon validation and production testing etc.
Responsibilities are:
• RTL design using System Verilog
• Test bench development and functional verification
• Defining synthesis timing constraints and performing static timing analysis
• Guiding the physical design and DFT efforts for your designs
• Assisting production test development for your designs
• Supporting silicon bring-up and test to take products to market
• Power consumption and power integrity analysis
• Participation in weekly project meetings and design collaboration meetings
• Effective and efficient design documentation and design review presentations
Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements:
• BSEE (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience or MSEE (or equivalent) /PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Understanding of fundamental concepts of digital logic design
• Knowledge of Verilog required
• Understanding of the complete digital design flow – from specification to silicon
• Block-level verification and gate-level simulation
• FPGA prototyping
• Knowledge of filter design, FIFO and digital interfaces
• MATLAB experience beneficial
• Intuitive and analytical understanding of digital test methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a cross-functional team are must
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
