We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Options Adviser to work on a temporary basis for a local authority in East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping people find suitable housing solutions and has experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities : Provide housing advice and assistance to customers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.Conduct assessments of customers' housing needs and eligibility for social housing and other housing options.

Develop and implement housing plans and provide ongoing support to customers.Liaise with landlords, housing associations, and other housing providers to identify suitable accommodation for customers.

Provide advice on a range of issues related to housing, including tenancy agreements, rent arrears, and eviction notices.

Manage a caseload of customers and maintain accurate records of all interactions.Requirements : Experience working in a similar role, ideally... within a local authority setting.

Strong knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with customers from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to manage a complex caseload and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Good IT skills and experience using housing management systems.

Knowledge of the local housing market in East London would be an advantage.This is a temporary contract for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension.
