The marketing assistant will play an important support role in the Marketing department of Coastal Jazz. This is a temporary job opportunity to run a maximum of 10 weeks in the lead up to, during and after the Vancouver International Jazz Festival (June 23 - July 2, 2023). The hourly rate is $20/hour.

This person will be expected to participate in the following activities:

Responsibilities
• Ensuring timely delivery and execution of campaign assets and other deliverables
• Developing content calendars for social media and eNewsletter
• Coordinating delivery of sponsor marketing benefits (e.g., social media mentions, on site signage)
• Disseminating information and assets to support VIJF contests and promotions
• Updating website, calendar postings and social media posting
• Coordinating and monitor emcee participation
• Tracking campaign progress and performance through analytics
• Cataloguing Festival-related content including photography and videos
• Support marketing activities... on site during Festival (locations vary)

Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity and comfort using digital communications including Microsoft Excel/Word or Google Docs/Sheets, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter a must
• Experience with Canva, Photoshop or other design program will be considered an asset
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
