Pyp/MYP/DP Dance, Drama & Theatre TEACHER

Location: Nord Anglia International School Dublin

We’re looking to recruit a Dance and Drama teacher with responsibility for PYP and MYP classes as well as DP Theatre classes for our Dublin school, a Nord Anglia Education school.

THE SCHOOL

Nord Anglia International School Dublin is the first and only IB continuum school in Ireland offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The school opened in September 2018 and is now one of the fastest growing Nord Anglia Education schools globally. As the school continues to expand, we are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed employees to help us develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed.

We have over 45 nationalities represented in the school community, who thrive academically; are committed to achieving their best and who grow with us as true global citizens through our... culture of respect, opportunity and personal development. We also have highly supportive parents who engage fully in the life of the school and their children’s education.

The successful candidates will be effective communicators, who value relationships and will want to participate fully in all aspects of school life. Amongst other things, they will be well organised, have a good sense of humour and enjoy collaborating as a team.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Drama, Dance and Theatre Teacher to join the Performing Arts Department for this challenging adventure.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced candidates. As a qualified Performing Arts Teacher, familiar with curriculum developments of the IB Diploma Programme (DP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP) and confident working with students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.

You will be committed to a modern, inquiry-based, student-centred approach to primary & secondary education.

You will be an excellent communicator and able to understand and incorporate strategies for effective learning into everyday practice; someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom.

You should also have an interest and experience in the production of school performances, and lead in the school's annual productions and other performances.

ABOUT YOU

With the ability to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved and able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will have a university degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice and innovative ideas with colleagues and peers to raise the school’s level of achievement.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your knowledge of the IB Curriculum and curriculum developments will enable you to be a part of the high-performing culture within the school.

You will also be able to meet visa and work permit-related restrictions for Ireland.
