University of Doha for Science and Technology Data Analysis and Research Specialist- Profile :

The Institutional Excellence Directorate unit invites applications for the position Data Analysis and Research Specialist.

Reporting to the Academic Manager, Institutional Research, the successful candidate will assist in interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing analytical reports to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will support the implementation of the operational plan for Institutional Excellence Directorate in line with UDST strategy.

The successful candidate will collect, prepare, interpret, and distribute labor market information and collect data needed for the development of UDST’s Student Success and Support Plan.

The successful will candidate assist in collecting and organizing the institutional data and information and assist in interpreting data and... analyzing results using statistical techniques.

He / she will identify patterns and trends in complex data sets provide ongoing reports based on analysis and present them in ways to help business users make decisions.

The successful candidate will conduct regular and ad hoc research and studies on institutional-impacting issues to support ongoing assessment toward improving Institutional effectiveness including administrative programs, academic programs, student success and student services.

The successful candidate will support business users in the development of their reports and dashboards and assist in developing and implementing database, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

The successful candidate will support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements and maintain confidentiality compliance and follow all internal and governmental regulations regarding data management.

Other responsibilities include to assist in preparing institutional annual reports and publications provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing data cleansing, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications :

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Data Science and Analysis; Statistics or related field

Master’s Degree from a reputable university in Data Science and Analysis; Statistics or another related field is preferable

Experience :

Experience of minimum 5 years relevant to duties and responsibilities at the similar level as specified is preferred
