About The Role
As ANUM, you will be a clinical leader within the nursing team and work as a delegate of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence based nursing care to our palliative patient cohort and providing oversight of the daily operations of the department.
Duties
• Leading and supporting the nursing team to ensure an excellent standard of patient care is delivered in accordance with the values of St Vincent's Health
• Supporting the NUM with the daily operations of the ward including patient flow, staffing, rostering and resource management.
• Participate in quality activities as per portfolio.
• Actively be involved in risk management and safety
• Being a positive role model/mentor and contributing to a supportive team culture.

Classifications for this position will range from YW11 – YW12 ($103,724.20 - $107, 213.60 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
• Bachelor of Nursing degree with AHPRA registration
• Experience in palliative care nursing - minimum 3 years in specialty area.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
• Postgraduate cert/dip in palliative care or working towards desirable but not essential

About Caritas Christi
Caritas Christi, Kew is a specialist palliative care unit caring for patients with a life limiting illness who may also have multiple medical co-morbidities. The focus of care is interdisciplinary, holistic and supportive to provide excellence in end of life care, symptom management and complex discharge planning. Our team have now settled into our new purpose built facility set against the backdrop of the Yarra river and bush surrounds. The unit has initially opened to 18 beds with the capacity to increase to 26 in the future.
